Sign-up to Develop an Online Classimageimage

The fall  '09 cohort is underway! We will be taking sign-ups for the Fall '10 cohorts starting this spring. Training and support will start in the fall semester of '10. Participants will be able to earn an stipend to develop an online course that will be offered in the fall of '11 or spring '12 depending upon the offering sequence. Title III Grant

Columbia College has been awarded a 2 million dollar Title III grant for 5 years. This is an exciting time for the college and our students. Students can learn anytime, anywhere! Distance Education has become a way to expand learning opportunities and help overcome childcare and transportation barriers. In order to equip faculty to teach online we offer a flexible, collaborative and accountable training program utilizing cohorts in an online and face-to-face learning community setting. Distance Education Committee

The Distance Education Committee is comprised of a broad cross-section of full-time and part-time faculty, staff and administrators. During the fall 2008 semester the committee met bi-weekly and were instrumental in the planning, preparation and implementation of the online development and training opportunities.
